The developer, MCC Land, has applied for a change in the name of the development as they feel that the feedback and sentiments of the community is important in the further positve improvements of the area.
The new name it has chosen, The Poiz Residences and The Poiz Center, is adapted from the first 2 letters of the area it is in, Potong Pasir, as well as gives an impression of positive presence and grace. The project would be launched in the third quarter of 2015, and is expected to attract crowds due to the scarcity of mixed developments in Singapore, as well as the impending appreciation of property prices in the area.
Potong Pasir is well known for being an opposition ward, one that has been recently won over by the People Actions Party (PAP) and eventhough it has not been proven, there is a sense that the areas of the opposition do not enjoy the same upgrading privileges of the ruling party. Either way, the residents of Potong Pasir will definitely benefit from the further development of the area, with The Poiz Residences and Center being the landmark since it is integrated with the MRT Station.
Potong Pasir is located in District 13, and it is on the city fringe. Both owners and tenants would benefit from the convenience of having amenities just a lift away, as well as the MRT station right at their doorstep.
Potong Pasir MRT station is connected to on the North East Line, and commuters can reach the city area (Dhoby Ghaut) in less than 20 minutes.
