Three keys to quickly shoot lower scores playing golf

There are many ways to lower golf scores but if you focus on the three I have listed here you can quickly shoot better golf scores. Golf is a complicated game with many moving parts and if you focus on trying to change too many parts of your swing you will just get frustrated and confused and your swing will probably just break down.

The first key is to know the Basic Rules of Playing Golf. You need to read and have an understanding of the most common rules and etiquette of the game. If you break a rule (even if not intentionally) and you are called out on it, you will have to add the penalty strokes to your score. If you play out of turn, or talk while another player is swinging and that causes one of the players in the group to take a bad shot or miss a putt, you’ll get the evil eye the rest of the round and it’s hard to play good golf when you feel like you hurt someones score. Most golfers playing in competition do try to follow the rules.

Local rules are also important to know. The score card normally lists the local rules that need to be followed. Like flower beds. Most of the time flower beds are a free drop and you shouldn’t hit a shot from them. Also check with the pro to see if there are some temporary rules like areas under repair. Miss these and you will be shooting a shot from a disadvantage.

The second key is getting one or two of the best golf training aids on the market that can help you groove your swing. Working with a good swing trainer (training aid) daily will quickly get your swing on the proper plane. Once your swing is on the proper plane you will make better contact of the golf ball, at the right time, on the right path, which will give you better distance and more accurate shots. That my friend leads to playing better golf.
The third key to work on is Golf Fitness. You need to keep fit. I know not all golfers, even some pros don’t look fit, but golf can be an exhausting and tiresome game. If you are anything like the average person playing the game, the more tired you get during a round the worst your swing can get. You may stop making a full turn or stop shifting your weight properly, or even start swinging harder knowing you are feeling tired. All of these adjustments can ruin the round.

All sports, including golf require the use of specific muscles. Get yourself on a golf specific program.   It’s important to not just go to the gym and start building up all your muscles. Build the proper muscles and make sure you also stretch out your muscles before you exercise and after.

Incorporate the above three keys into your game and you will see positive results and the game will become easier and a lot more fun.
